Takis & Sophie
My late husband Takis and I were born in Alexandria, Egypt, of Greek origin. My family roots are from Skopelos, on my father’s side, and this island has been part of my life since childhood.
I first visited Skopelos at the age of three, and many years later, when Takis and I came here for our honeymoon, he immediately shared my enchantment for this beautiful place.
We decided we would make Skopelos our permanent home as soon as we were able, and creating Del Sol became the natural way for us to share with visitors the life of this magical island.
The Delsol
Del Sol is located right by the sea, surrounded by olive trees, an easy 10 minutes stroll or 2 minutes by car along a pleasant flat coastal road. Our property covers 7,000 m² of gardens and olive grove land and rises gently up a 300-metre hillside.
Two of our main accommodation buildings are located at the lower part of the property, while the swimming pool and tennis court are towards the back, set amidst our gracious olive trees, away from it all and for the exclusive use of our guests. The views from here are simply stunning, across the harbour entrance, with boats coming and going, and towards the deep green slopes of Mount Palouki behind us.
At the very top of the property stand our two new Del & Sol semi-detached villas, lovingly constructed above the gardens and just a few steps above the swimming pool. From here you can enjoy majestic panoramic views over Skopelos Town and the sea beyond.
Because we are located on the opposite side of the bay from the town, Del Sol enjoys both peace and silence, and the convenience of being able to walk to restaurants, cafés, bars and shops every evening.
Walking to the main harbour gives you access to buses, taxis, boat trips and local shops. Everything Skopelos has to offer is truly on your doorstep.
